Improves libido, increases performance
Erectile Dysfunction, decreased desire (libido)
Made from the time-tested ayurvedic herbal aphrodisiacs and enhancers, VITEX is recommended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence or difficulty in getting or maintaining erection) of various origins including psychological, stress-related, endothelial, and diabetes-related.
The ingredients are known for their aphrodisiacal properties and hence enhance sexual desire as well. Vitex is proven to improve control on ejaculation.
The key ingredients include:
Asvagandha is one of the best known medicinal herbs, said to be in use for thousands of years in India. The roots of this shrub Withania somnifera consist primarily of compounds known as withanolides, which account for its extraordinary medicinal properties. Much of Ashwaganda's pharmacological activity has been attributed to two main withanolides, withaferin A, D and withanolide G. In the traditional system of medicine Ayurveda, this plant is claimed to have potent aphrodisiac rejuvenative and life prolonging properties.
The withanolides serve as important hormone precursors that can convert into human physiologic hormones as needed. Ashwagandha is thought to be amphoteric; i.e., it can help regulate important physiologic processes. The theory is that when there is an excess of a certain hormone, the plant-based hormone precursor occupies cell membrane receptor sites so the actual hormone cannot attach and exert its effect. If the hormone level is low, the plant-based hormone exerts a small effect.
Ashwagandha is also considered to be an adaptogen, facilitating the ability to withstand stressors, and has antioxidant properties as well. Other studies have shown ashwagandha to have an immunostimulatory effect.
Withania is shown to reverse a number of adverse physiologic conditions including cognitive deficit, immunosuppression, sexual dysfunction, gastric ulceration, irregularities in glucose homeostasis, and changes in plasma corticosterone levels, resulting from chronic stress (CS). Aswagandha improves sperm count and quality.

Sida Cordifolia grows as a weed throughout tropical and subtropical regions of India and Sri Lanka. Its leaves are heart shaped [so the name cordi- (heart) -folia (leaves)]. It has been classified in ayurvedic texts under Balya (body strengthening herbs), Brimhaniya (body bulk increasing herbs), Prajasthapana (fertility-promoting) plants.
Sida (Bala) normalizes Vata and pitta, hence used in diseases caused due to vitiation of vata and pitta. Its Vrshya (aphrodisiac) properties enables bala as an important ingredient in medicinal preparations for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation (Bhavaprakasha).
The most important medicinally efficacious constituent in sida is ephedrine – an alkaloid - but it also contains pseudoephedrine, mucins, potassium nitrate, resins etc.
A barbed shrub found throughout India derives its name from the flowers which resemble the eye of a cuckoo. The seeds are known to have sexual enhancement properties - both from traditional knowledge and modern studies (Ref ‘Natural Product Research Vol 25, Issue 15, 2011).
The herb is used for treatment of erectile dysfunction, increasing ejaculatory latency (control of ejaculation), and spermatorrhea. It has strong diuretic properties and is recognized for its action against stones in urine and kidneys (Ref: The Ill. Dictionary of Medicinal Plants in India).
Another wonderful herb whose seeds are reputed for spermatogenic and aphrodisiacal properties. The plant is creeping shrub that grows several meters long. The pods are almost 10 cm long carrying upto 6-10 seeds of the size of beans. The pods are covered with orange colored hairs that cause severe itching upon touch.
As per ayurveda texts, the seeds of mucuna have the finest vrshya properties such that if the drug is taken over a long period of time it will build muscle bulk, enhance erectile function, alleviate erectile dysfunction, stop premature ejaculation and increase sperm count. Mucuna is praised as vajikaran of the highest order.
The main ingredients are L-dopa , mucanine and serotonin. L-Dopa acts as anti-Parkinson's and increases testosterone. L-Dopa, the precursor to dopamine and dopamine is a natural neurotransmitter that enhances sexual urge and interest.
Studies show that Mucuna pruriens reverses spermatogenic loss by combating Reactive Oxygen Specis (ROS). (PLoS One, 2013);
- improves male fertility by its action on the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis (Fertil Steril. 2008);
- improves semen profile and biochemical parameters in seminal plasma of infertile men (Fertil Steril. 2007).
Shilajit, a herbomineral drug, contains ample amounts of fulvic acid and mineral constituents. The fulvic acid stimulates blood formation, energy production, and prevents cold exposure and hypoxia. It actively takes part in the transportation of nutrients into deep tissues and helps to overcome tiredness, lethargy, and chronic fatigue. It also works effectively as a tonic for cardiac, gastric, and nervous systems, adaptogen and antistress agent. (Int J Ayurveda Research 2010 Jan-Mar; 1(1): 37–40.)
Shilajit is a Sanskrit word meaning “Conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness” and ‘Winner of rock’. Shilajit is a pale-brown to blackish-brown exudate in the form of a smooth and clean gum that comes out of the mountains in the months of May-July. It is found in the lower Himalayan hills at altitudes between 1000 to 5000 meters in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, and Arunachal Pradesh. Shilajit is composed of humus and organic plant materials that have been compressed by layers of rocks. The humus consists of 60-80% organic matter, is bitter in taste, and has an odor like cow's urine 9hence the name ‘go-mutra shilajit’). It is a natural medicine with a long history of human use for healing and performance-enhancement in diabetes and the urinary, immune, digestive, cardiac, and nervous systems.
Shilajit increases the vigour & vitality and acts as a restorative tonic
It is a common weed of the pasture lands, road sides, and other waste places, chiefly in hot, dry, and sandy regions all over India up to 11,000 ft, and all warm regions of both hemispheres. Its roots, fruits and entire plant is used in various ayurvedic preparations. Seeds are known to have aphrodisiac and spermatogenic properties. Research has shown that tribulus increases male hormone testosterone, which is responsible for development of male sexual characters, muscle buildup and sexual function etc. Erectile dysfunction can result from lowered testosterone level in the body.
Protodioscin, an active principle from Gokshura is converted to DHEA, a precursor of testosterone and thus improves sexual function and sperm production (Internat. J. Androl 2000: 23 Suppl 2:82-84). A study published in Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine (2003: 257-65) showed that treatment with Gokshura extract increased the intracavernous pressure in the penis and enhanced sexual behavior. This is attributed to increase in androgen in penile tissues which in turn stimulate nerve endings to release nitric oxide release. Nitric oxide causes increased blood flow into the penis and causes stronger erections.
Jatiphal (Nutmeg) is the dried fruit of the evergreen tree Myristica fragrans. It is a spice containing volatile oils comprised of alkyl benzene derivatives like myristicin, elemicin, and safrole. Myristica fragrans has been mentioned in Unani medicine to be of value in the management of male sexual disorders. Experimental studies have shown an increase in sexual and mounting behavior after administration of ethanol extract of nutmeg (BMC Complement Altern Med. 2005).
